The Association for Progressive Judaism (APJ) is a diverse group of Jewish religious leaders and lay people who are concerned about the well-being of Reform Judaism, its principles and practices, and who seek to shape the future of our movement by strengthening its commitment to intellectual debate, rational theology, and ethical discourse. Our goal is to create various venues to debate the great religious issues of our day and ground those debates in critical thinking as well as to create educational and religious materials to promote and deepen Reform Judaism. We believe that Reform Judaism is a historical necessity, has much to offer the modern Jew, and should be the source of both pride and faith for progressive Jews everywhere.
